Ministries

St. James by-the-Sea has an abundance of ministry opportunities in which to become actively involved. Ministry is an important part of all our lives; Clergy and parishioners alike enrich their daily lives through ministry with others. Here at St. James our members volunteer their time and talents in many of these ministries.

Liturgical Ministries include the choir, flower guild, altar guild, acolytes, ushers and greeters. These ministries are directly related to worship services and in some cases are the first points of contact for visitors and guests to the parish.

Pastoral Ministries conduct special visitations to parishioners who are in hospitals or homebound. They include health fairs and wellness programs and include a host of trained volunteers who are in close contact with those who are ill, grieving or in need of special assistance.

Our Educational Ministry is comprised of a caring group of volunteers, led by trained staff, who provide a safe and caring environment for which our parish family may come to learn and love Christ.

Our Outreach and Social Ministries allow members to get involved with programs that minister to the community as well as the Church.
