Christian Education for Everyone!!

Adult Forums:
Adult Forums are held in the Van Schaick Room at 9:00am on Sunday

The Sunday Bible Study Group meets at 8:45 a.m. in the St. James Hall meeting room.

Babies up to age three are welcome in our nursery. Nursery hours are from 8:45 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. on Sundays. Nursery pagers are available by request. If you have older children requiring care during an adult forum, please see one of our childcare providers and she will gladly set up a play station for your child!

Godly Play lessons for adoption!

Throughout the summer months, you will once again have the opportunity to sponsor a Godly Play lesson. Godly Play is a Christian formation program we are using for our pre-K and kindergarten classes this Fall. Developed by the Rev. Jerome Berryman, Godly Play uses religious language through sacred stories, parables and liturgical action. We plan to set-up a second room for this use, so we need to outfit it. To sponsor a lesson, look for the display outside at coffee hour or contact Laura Atwater. There is a lesson to fit everyone's budget.

Other annual events

• Rally Day: Early September registrations are completed for Sunday school, and then the fun begins!>

• Christmas Pageant and Children's Christmas Party: Always a hit!

• Hat Day: Children design hats that depict characters from Bible stories, and "become" that character.

• Movie Days: Children view age-appropriate films with Christian messages.

• Mardi Gras: A Lenten pancake supper and party.

• Easter Service: Children hunt high and low for colorful eggs.

• Pentecost Party: A festive gathering with balloons and wind instruments that represent the Holy Spirit.
